About Dianne and Liz Lorang

Dianne (the mom) is a freelance editor and writer. She opened her business, The Write Help, LLC, in 1996 after working for a literary agency and a university writing center. Her clients have sold books to publishers from Scribner to The Johns Hopkins University Press. She is the co-editor of Single Women – Alive and Well!, a collection of creative non-fiction stories by and about women who have learned to be strong and happy on their own. Her tenet is that when written well, any material can be interesting.

grad0506-001.jpg Liz (the daughter) is a recent college graduate, with a BA in English-Literature: Film Studies. Which means she knows more about film theory, film history, and writing than she ever dreamed she would. Her aspirations are to be a television writer, screenwriter, and novelist. Favorite films include everything from Infamous to The Good Girl to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. She believes that the quality of a script can make or break a film, or television show, and that no amount of special effects can take the place of well-written dialog and a good story.
